Coverage of “Why hasn’t UK regional policy worked?”

This week saw the launch of our second working paper, Why hasn’t UK regional policy worked?.

We were pleased to launch the paper on Wednesday evening at a Strand Group event at King’s College London, joined by what Politico dubbed “The Panel to End All Panels” of Lord Mandelson, Lord Sainsbury, Dame Melanie Dawes, George Osborne and Pat Ritchie.

On the day of publication the paper was covered in the Financial Times, Times, and iNews. The authors also ran this opinion piece in the Times, and the paper was the topic of the New Statesman’s weekly Research Brief.

Subsequent coverage in the Telegraph and Times has focused on Lord Heseltine’s description of local government reform – by light aircraft – in the 1970s.
