Ed Balls

Ed Balls is a broadcaster, writer and economist. He is Professor of Political Economy at King’s College, London and a Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School. Ed, a former Member of Parliament, was UK Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer (2011-2015) and served in the UK Cabinet as Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families (2007-2010). He was the UK Minister for Financial Services (2006-2007) and the Chief Economic Adviser to the UK Treasury (1999-2004) during which time he was Chair of the IMFC Deputies and UK G20 Deputy.

Anna Stansbury

Anna Stansbury is an Assistant Professor of Work and Organization Studies at MIT Sloan School of Management. She is a labor and macroeconomist whose work focuses on inequality and productivity in industrialized economies. She has a PhD in Economics from Harvard, an MPP from the Kennedy School, and a BA in Economics from Cambridge.

Dan Turner

Dan Turner is a researcher at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government and Senior Advisor to the Mayor of South Yorkshire. Dan was a Frank Knox Memorial Fellow at Harvard University from 2020 to 2022, and has an MPP from the Kennedy School and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford.

Nyasha Weinberg

Nyasha Weinberg is a public law barrister at 39 Essex Chambers and graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School. Nyasha worked as a civil servant, political advisor and management consultant. She has been widely published on constitutional law and the rule of law, international trade policy, UK-EU relations, technology and the future of work, with her research cited by major UK and international newspapers.

Esme Elsden

Esme Elsden is a PhD researcher at University College London jointly funded by BBSRC-ESRC investigating Biosocial Research in Epidemiology and Public Health. She recently worked as a CO-ORDINATE Fellow at the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research, and has held research assistantships across King’s College London, University College London and the University of Alicante, Spain. She has an MSc in Health Psychology and a BASc in Arts & Sciences from UCL.
