Dear STAHRgazers,
Telescope classes are back in session and will be starting on October 1! The Loomis-Michael Observatory will be reserved for telescope classes from 7pm to 10pm most nights. Wednesdays (reserved from 9pm to 10:30pm) and Fridays (open all night) are the two exceptions. As the sun sets earlier, class times may shift forward.
We understand that this greatly reduces the Observatory’s availability during prime observing hours, and ask you to bear with us while we train a new batch of aspiring astronomers on the telescope!
For those of you who have taken the telescope class but feel a little rusty, we will have refresher “Office Hours” most Saturdays from 8:30pm to 10pm as weather allows. Stay tuned!
