Alberto Cavallo is the Thomas S. Murphy Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where he teaches in the Business, Government, and the International Economy (BGIE) unit, a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
Alexander J. MacKay
Alexander MacKay is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Virginia. Professor MacKay’s research focuses on matters of competition, including pricing, demand, and market structure. His research has been cited by The New York Times, the Financial Times, TIME, National Public Radio, and the Economic Report of the President.

Paolo Mengano
Paolo Mengano is an Assistant Professor at ESADE in Barcelona. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the HBS Pricing Lab in 2023-24. His research focuses on market power, productivity, and firm dynamics. Paolo obtained his PhD in economics from the University of Zurich in 2023.

Santiago Alvarez-Blaser
Santiago Alvarez-Blaser is a postdoctoral fellow at the HBS Pricing Lab and a PhD candidate at the University of Basel. His research focuses on empirical macroeconomics, specifically on price-setting and inflation. His previous professional experience covers research and policy positions at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), Swiss National Bank (SNB) and Central Bank Research Association (CEBRA).
Julian Hidalgo
Julian Hidalgo is a postdoctoral fellow at the HBS Pricing Lab. his research focuses on the empirical study of changes in market structure and strategic supply-side responses, with special emphasis on the role of advertising. In September 2025, he will join the Department of Economics and Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra as an Assistant Professor. Julian obtained his PhD in economics from KU Leuven in 2024.
