Priyanka is a PhD candidate in Government studying immigrants and race/ ethnic politics. Her current research studies how diaspora communities engage with the politics of their origin countries. She is interested in identity and social status among immigrant groups, as well as attitudes towards immigrants. In addition to the Weatherhead Institute, she is affiliated with the Mittal South Asia Institute and the Center for America Political Studies at Harvard, as well as the Berkely Interdisciplinary Migration Initiative. Priyanka took her prior degrees at the University of Chicago and Columbia University, and previously worked in government consulting at McKinsey & Company. She is originally from Dehra Dun, India, and enjoys painting and creating crosswords.
