I am a Raphael Morrison Dorman Postdoctoral Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from MIT in June 2023. Starting in the Fall of 2024, I will be an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Ohio State University.

My research interests are driven by questions related to context and contact. What type of information do we derive from casual contact with different social groups during our quotidian routines? How does contextually derived information shape our attitudes and behavior? What role does the built environment play in structuring our opportunities for contact and thus the information to which we are privy?

To study these questions, I explore how we can leverage new data sources to capture context and contact better. I combine big-data analyses and machine learning methods with causal inference to answer these questions, with regional cases primarily in sub-Saharan Africa.
