Data

The National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NAJCD) hosts publicly available PHDCN data, currently waves 1-3 of the longitudinal cohort study along with community survey, census, and systematic social observation data. Publicly available data are anonymized, with no way for those accessing the public data to identify who took part in the PHDCN study, let alone attribute specific responses to single individuals.

Located within the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research (ISR), the NAJCD receives funding from the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the National Institute of Justice, and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

In addition to hosting the PHDCN, NAJCD hosts two large FBI datasets: the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) and the Uniform Crime Report (UCR), as well as the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS).

In 2025, waves 4 and 5 data will be released by NAJCD and links posted on this website. Additional replication files and code will be posted as well.
