Kimberly Lewis
Hiphop in Education Research Fellow
Kimberly comes to HARI from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she received her M.Ed. She is a scholar and self-proclaimed hiphop head who believes in the power of research and research-based approaches to transform our world. Kimberly enjoys fostering engaged community spaces that provide opportunities for young people to express themselves as a means to instill confidence. She will bring her love of hiphop scholarship and research to projects such as Classic Crates and will contribute to the scholarly mission of the Hiphop Archive. Kimberly’s long list of favorite music artists include Stevie Wonder, DMX, Beyonce, Erykah Badu, and DJ Screw.
