I-Chuan Wei
Language Instructor

M.A., Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, National Taipei University of Education

B.A., Adult & Continuing Education, National Taiwan Normal University

Before working at Harvard, I-Chuan Wei worked at the U.S. Language Flagship Overseas Center in Taiwan and taught at several intensive Chinese programs, including the University of Mississippi – Summer Chinese Flagship Program, the Critical Language Scholarship Program, the Ministry of Education Summer Intensive Program (TISLP), and National Taiwan University’s International Chinese Language Program. In 2024, I-Chuan became an ACTFL-certified OPI tester. Outside of teaching, I-Chuan has a deep love for the performing arts and can’t resist a good show—whether it’s a play, musical, stand-up comedy, Japanese manzai, or Chinese xiangsheng. This passion for performance is reflected in I-Chuan’s teaching philosophy, viewing the Chinese language as more than just a tool for communication, but as a living art form.
