I’m an economist doing research in development economics and political economy. I’m a PhD student at Harvard University in Political Economy and Government, a joint degree that combines the Economics Department’s PhD program with support from the Harvard Kennedy School. I am on the academic job market in 2023/2024.

I study historical and cultural determinants of economic development with a focus on health through field experiments. My main field site is Kananga in the DR Congo, where I conduct several multi-year projects.

My job market paper documents the causes and consequences of supernatural beliefs about illness for medical decision-making in Sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on the DR Congo.

Here is my CV.
