Hear Me features seven young people (ages 10-23) from Berkshire County, MA who have been impacted by gun violence. We explore root causes, health disparities, stories of impact, and a way forward–through the stories of experts.

  • How can we compel both the private and public sector to provide more employment opportunities to those most at-risk for exposure to gun violence?
  • How to insure that the connections and partnerships are valuable to each participating institution and organization. How do we navigate differing positions of power and privilege as we create partnerships with our communities?
  • How to Incorporate lessons on gun safety and patients education into medical education
  • How can we create more opportunities to hear directly from those who have been directly impacted?
  • Can we grow faster, get stronger and be more impactful working together?
  • What are the obstacles in Philadelphia, Baltimore/DC, Chicago, St.Louis that each of our guest have had to overcome to work with their partners.
  • Why do we make the gun the center of that narrative when it’s bullets that are the true point of impact. Why do we center stigmatizing language around violence to polarize the narrative.
