The Tierras
Observatory
The Tierras Observatory is a 1.3-m telescope located at Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory atop Mt. Hopkins in Arizona. It is equipped with an ultra-precise photometer that uses a custom near-infrared filter to deliver groundbreaking long-term stability for a ground-based facility. We are using Tierras to investigate the variability of stars, determine the spin-orbit alignment of exoplanet systems, and search for and characterize temperate terrestrial transiting exoplanets.
