White Pine Prototype
White pine sapling, linen, child’s wooden building block, electrical components
White Pine Prototype is a lamp made from a cross section of a white pine sapling covered with an open weave linen fabric. The ends of the bent branches are fit into a yellow child’s building block.
Artist Statement
Ellen Davis specializes in the conservation and technical study of modern and contemporary paintings. In her own creative work, she uses natural materials and forms to make useful objects.
