Richard Palmer, a California native, was RSEA 1988. His graduate thesis (D. Perkins) was a case study on China International Trust and Investment Company (CITIC) and the emerging Chinese bond market. After graduating from UC Berkeley (BA 1984) and before attending Harvard, Richard was an intern at the United States Trade Representatives office for China and Japan. Richard spent many years in Asia and was seven years in Singapore working for Morgan Stanley. Currently Richard is a Managing Director in the San Francisco Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management office. Richard has served on various non profit boards and as a trustee on different foundations including UC Berkeley.
