Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Pohang, South Korea
1. Isotopic study of atmospheric mercury sources and their exposure pathways in marine plankton
- Characterized atmospheric Hg species entering the Indian Ocean and their methylation depths using zooplankton as a proxy and their translation into high trophic level fish
- Joined cruise campaign to sample atmospheric Hg species and zooplankton using MOCNESS at the Seychelles-Chagos Thermocline Ridge in the tropical Indian Ocean
2. Climate-induced changes in environment and coastal geomorphology of Svalbard fjords, Arctic
- Coupled Hg and Nd isotopes to reconstruct changes in Hg sources and processes in Svalbard fjord sediment cores spanning the entire Holocene
- Joined cruise campaign to sampling fjord sediment cores in Svalbard
3. Arctic Floating University 2019 Expedition Project
Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Arkhangelsk, Russia
- Selected as a participant via “Outstanding Future Researchers Overseas Training Program” funded by Korea Polar Research Institute
- Joined a three-week offshore training expedition at the Barents Sea, with a focus on marine sediments
4. Spatiotemporal characterization of Hg isotope baselines and anthropogenic influences in lake sediment cores
- Compiled Hg isotope data from twenty-two lake sediment cores to evaluate pre-industrial to present-day period atmospheric Hg influences on a global scale
