Our Inclusive Teaching Institute (ITI) is a learning community for faculty and teaching staff across Harvard University to connect about inclusive teaching practices, pedagogies, theories, and research. Through the Culture Lab Innovation Fund (CLIF), we hope to further ITI’s impact by sharing the expertise of instructors from the Harvard Division of Continuing Education (DCE) – Harvard Extension School & Harvard Summer School – with the University in order to support inclusive online and blended learning experiences.
Through an open call application process, we selected 16 instructors to be Inclusive Practice Fellows along with 2 graduate students to be Education Technology Fellows.
The instructors will engage in a community of practice by sharing inclusive teaching practices through:
- Co-facilitating interactive teaching workshops at an Inclusive Teaching Symposium open to faculty and teaching staff University-wide
- Instructor spotlight videos and articles of teaching tips, tools, and trends
- A collaborative website on inclusive teaching for different schools and departments across Harvard to contribute to
