Catrina Longhurst

Deputy Director of Marketing

Catrina Longhurst is an ALM Candidate in Psychology at Harvard Extension School, with a BS in Web Design. She brings a unique blend of creativity, analytical skill, and cross-cultural experience to her professional endeavors. 

Her international career spans multiple fields, including elementary and secondary education, linguistics, photography, and podcasting. She has worked as a linguistics contractor for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), taught as an elementary and middle school teacher in Mexico, and served as a research assistant with Boston College and Texas Christian University, with multiple peer reviewed publications on Diabetes in the Haitian American community and Mental health. 

A multi-passionate professional, Catrina is also a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography, from which she launched her own photography business, and later created and hosted her own podcast, blending her expertise in communication and storytelling. 

 With her diverse background and proven ability to succeed across disciplines, Catrina thrives at the intersection of research, education, and creative enterprise, consistently seeking innovative ways to bridge knowledge, culture, and human connection. 

 Her academic interests in psychology include the cognitive and emotional components of the human experience, such as the meaning people assign to their pain, and coping strategies that could help ease the discomfort and create meaning in the human experience.
