Sweet as Honey

From the artist: Based on my photographs, “Sweet as Honey” attempts to demonstrate the struggle between humans and their own cravings. The honey smothered on the subject’s face conveys the idea of an individual’s craving drowning them; in this case, the craving is a desire for sugar. Like honey, a sugar craving is hard to detach from a human once it sticks on. The dark background, inspired by the style of Moroni, further highlights this psychological conflict.
