About the fund
The gift of classmates of Richard Zayas A.B. 1988 on the occasion of the Class of 1988 Fifteenth Reunion, to establish an endowed Book Fund. Richard Zayas loved music, embraced diversity of life, and worked to open wider the doors to Harvard. This book fund will provide critical support of Harvard’s preeminent library collections. The income only of this gift shall be used by the Harvard College Librarian to purchase and make available to users pre-recorded contemporary and popular musical works in any medium now known or hereafter devised, other music resources that the contemporary and popular music collections of the Harvard College Library, and any performance or educational programs related thereto. It is the donors’ wish that preference be given to Latin American music.
