The gift of Dan M. Sanchuk to establish a library fund that would provide financial support for the development of the Ukrainian Collection at Harvard University. In a letter dated March 3, 2004, the Ukrainian Studies Fund added their wish for the Fund’s stipulation to also include provisions for the acquisition and support of very important electronic resources in Ucrainica and for the acquisition and processing of Ucrainica in general, so that Ucrainica be expediently and competently incorporated in the University Library system. We view Ucrainica to be the collection of materials that is useful for the advancement of studies of Ukraine, its history, literature, language and culture.
