About the fund
The gift of Mrs. John W. Valentine to establish a fund in memory of her husband, John Wadsworth Valentine, Class of 1929 to be used for the purchase of books or manuscripts for the Harvard College Library, with first preference being given to English literature and history, but not limiting acquisitions to those fields.
