About the fund

The bequest of Amey Richmond Sheldon for the rebuilding or enlarging of its library building known as Gore Hall in such manner as the said President and Fellows of Harvard College shall deem best; On September 22, 1947, it was voted to assign the income of the Amey Richmond Sheldon Bequest for the purchase of books and periodicals and the general purposes of the Library.
