About the fund

The gift of William Vernon Jackson A.M. 1948, Ph.D. 1952 to establish a book fund in honor of Robert B. Downs, for the purchase of studies of the resources of research libraries. The term ‘studies’ is to encompass guides, catalogs, checklists, exhibition catalogs and other publications which provide information on library collections.
