About the fund
The bequest of Bancroft G. Davis, Class of 1895, to use the income for the benefit of the library of Harvard College. I desire said fund to be known as the Andrew McFarland Davis Fund, in memory of my father, and I desire the income thereof to be used, as far as it can be so used usefully and advantageously, in the purchase of books and publications relating particularly to American history and political economy and kindred subjects in which my father was interested.
