About the fund

The gift of Terrie Fried Bloom A.B. 1975, M.B.A. 1981 and Bradley M. Bloom A.B. 1975, M.B.A. 1979 to endow a fund in Harvard-Yenching Library. Income will be used first for the acquisition of unique and rare Chinese library resources from antiquity to modern times including books, scrolls, artifacts and materials of an artistic nature. Secondly the income will be used for the preservation and access of those items acquired by the fund. The donors have a strong preference for materials with an artistic element such as calligraphy, illustrations, and other artwork rather than those that have purely historical significance. The Bloom Family Fund will be used at the discretion of the Librarian of the Harvard-Yenching Library.
