Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Basel
I am interested in the early modern history of information in Europe and India, particularly the use of paperwork, such as notebooks and other material media. My current work as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Basel focuses on the information work of Swiss ministers who took up posts as secretaries, librarians, chaplains or translators in colonial Britain in the eighteenth century. My past work looked at the repurposing of paper in Germany and Scotland, with a forthcoming monograph on practices of reuse in the early modern Republic of Letters.
