I am a historian of the early modern period, focusing on exchanges between Europe and China in the seventeenth century.

My research examines how information moved across cultural and political boundaries through the missionary networks of the Society of Jesus, with particular attention to how distance shaped the circulation and reception of knowledge. I was drawn to information history because both Europe and China faced forms of information overload, and I am fascinated by how mutual learning between them depended on fragile but transformative exchanges of news, texts, and ideas.
