Niclas is a postdoctoral fellow at Milind Tambe’s Teamcore working on AI for Social Good with a background in theoretical computer science and social choice theory. He is passionate about building fair and transparent AI decision-making and prediction systems with a positive impact on society that are deployed and rigorously evaluated in the real world. Reasoning about how to allocate scarce resources efficiently and what makes systems fair are two recurring topics in his research. Currently, he is involved in developing a sequential resource allocation algorithm to fight dwindling engagement in Kilkari, the largest maternal mHealth program in the world, in collaboration with the Indian NGO ARMMAN.
