Noha Mahran studied Egyptology for her bachelor’s degree at the faculty of Archaeology, Cairo University. She pursued her studies in the Environmental Archaeology joint master’s program run by Cairo and Cologne universities. She is currently finishing her thesis work on Basketry in Ancient Egypt. Noha has been working as an assistant librarian at the Netherlands-Flemish institute in Cairo since 2016, where she mainly focuses on the archival collection. In 2022, she was selected to attend the Egypt Exploration Society’s Egyptological archives school, following summer schools in Cologne and Groningen, which have all expanded her knowledge, experience, and passion for libraries and archives.
