Biography:

As an early childhood educator and researcher, Amber was born and raised in Daqing, China. In 2019, she completed her B.A. in Psychology and Human Development at the University of Connecticut. Luckily, Amber found her true passion in working with young learners. She then graduated from the HDE program in ’23 with a focus on Early Childhood Education. Amber is currently working at a non-profit as a preschool lead teacher. By proactively collaborating with ECE professionals and families in the child’s “village”, Amber aims to nurture and empower the young generation to be social-emotionally and cognitively competent and confident in facing and adapting to the changing world. 

 

✨ What is a simple but meaningful interaction that made an impact on you? 

I can still remember my dad used to give me shoulder rides every day when he picked me up from kindergarten. He would ask me “How’s today” and I would talk non-stop about what I played, who I played with, why I didn’t sleep, etc.
