About Us
We all need healthy, human relationships around us to learn, grow, and be healthy.
What makes a human relationship developmental – meaning that it supports our development as human beings? What are are developmental relationships made of?
The Developmental Interactions Lab is a group of curious and relational researchers and practitioners committed to these questions. We come from very different backgrounds – Teachers, Psychologists, Early Childhood Educators, Researchers – and we share a common focus in understanding and supporting the simple, everyday interactions that make relationships work.
Our work includes research studies, applied fieldwork, training and professional development, and public communication and service. We engage with diverse professional fields, including early childhood care and education, K-12 education, pediatric care and health, family and parent support, social-emotional development, early literacy, and much more.
