TRAVEL
We recommend booking your flights to arrive in Boston in the evening of Tuesday July 18th (meetings begin promptly at 9 AM on the 19th) and departing in the afternoon/evening of Friday July 21st.
The closest airport is Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). It takes about 20-30 minutes to travel by car from the airport to Harvard Square, but there are also cheaper transit options if you choose to utilize the MBTA. Transit options will take approximately 1 hour. Disability-accessible and with ample room for luggage, the Silver Line is free from Boston Logan (inbound to South Station). This includes a free transfer to the Red Line subway (towards Alewife; six stops until reaching Harvard Square). For more information see Massport.
LODGING and ACCOMMODATIONS
There are several lodging options available in the Cambridge area, all within walking distance of Harvard’s campus.
Hotel Veritas has reserved a limited block of rooms at a reduced rate, with queen and king rooms available. To reserve a room with our group at Hotel Veritas, please follow this link and book online. Room availability is limited, so if the link does not allow your reservation, the block of rooms is likely already full.
Hotel 1868 and the Porter Square Hotel have also generously provided a limited number of discounted rate rooms. Should you choose to reserve with either of these hotels, contact them directly by phone and use the code BK2023.
There are a number of other options available, including Airbnb and other hotels in the area.
DINING
We will update dining options after receiving a majority of completed registrations, to better accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies.
Dining will be catered on Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM in the courtyard of Perkins Lab, the Center for Astrophysics main facilities. Nirvana: Taste of India will gratefully be helping us with this event. Please join us for drink and food to celebrate the launch of another BICEP collaboration meeting!
