Matthew Banda (Malawi University of Science and Technology) participated in the Paleoarchaeological Fieldwork at Boomplas Cave project, which focuses on tracking dietary and technological changes across the Middle Stone Age to Later Stone Age (MSA-LSA) transition through the analysis of lithics and macrofaunal remains. Matthew recently completed his BA in Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices. He is really keen to work with communities, conserve sites, and learn more about the past, but he lacks adequate fieldwork experience. He is articulate and has a strong analytical mind. He is hoping to continue his studies through a masters degree at one of Malawi’s national universities.
