Medina Lubisia

Medina served as a teaching assistant during the 2024 season of the Harvard Summer Program in Kenya. She received a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Nairobi in 2018 and a Master of Science degree in Human Evolutionary Biology from Turkana University College in 2024. She is an affiliate of the Turkana Basin Institute and has been a TA for many of their field schools. Soon, Medina will be going to pursue a PhD at Université Toulouse – Jean Jaurés in France, where she will continue with studies on Plio-Pleistocene Archaeology. Her specialization is in stone tool technology, and she hopes that her research will contribute significant knowledge in the field, and will bring new insights to our knowledge of hominin technological evolution.
