Aoron Eipa Emmanuel

Born and raised in Turkana County, Kenya, Emmanuel has been a member of Harvard University’s Human Evolutionary Biology department since 2022, and he worked as a teaching assistant for the 2024 season of the Harvard Summer Program in Kenya. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Egerton University, a master’s degree in Human Evolutionary Biology from Turkana University College, and is currently pursuing a PhD in the same subject from Harvard University. As a paleoanthropologist and a paleontologist, Emmanuel is interested in the evolution of head stabilization and the efficiency of the vestibulo-ocular reflex in humans. After obtaining his degree, he hopes to generate and communicate knowledge in this field through publication and teaching. He plans to participate in educational policymaking in Kenya to provide crucial intellectual support to the country’s younger generation, providing a pathway for Kenyans to step into the field of human evolutionary biology and contribute to world-class research.
