Bio
I am a postdoctoral fellow broadly interested in understanding the circuits and computations underlying sensorimotor transformations. What types of computations occur at the level of single units and populations to support sensory processing and decision making? How do sensorimotor feedforward circuits relate to brain-wide representations and computations? During my graduate studies, I studied these questions using sensorimotor behaviors in mice and rats, and my training has been shaped by models of decision making and sensory coding from the rodent and primate literature. Currently, and into the future, I seek to leverage the optical accessibility and robust innate behavioral repertoire of larval zebrafish to gain a new perspective on these questions.
